Precautionary advisory on proclaimed major cybersecurity breach in UAE

The Obrela Threat Intelligence Team

A yet unidentified TA/group of TAs claim that they have successfully breached UAE government servers, and acquired sensitive information from various important UAE stakeholders, such as government services and other organizations.

Meanwhile, Anonymous Arabia have warned about a massive attack that involves two Middle Eastern and two European countries, specifying that one of their targets will be airports.

An indicative, but not yet exhaustive list follows:  Sharik.ae, tdra.gov.ae, fanr.gov.ae, Executive Council, Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, UAE, Bayanat.ae, Kidx.ae, Sannif.ae, Thoughtslnnovation, MOEModel, rta.ae, workinuae.ae, and some Al modules.

Obrela remains vigilant about potentially suspicious activities, and, at the same time, investigate the validity of the claim and potential correlations to other TAs.
