The aim of the undertaken project is to generate appropriate material that shall form a simplified Business Continuity Management approach that can be used by SMEs for self-assessment leading to the development of the organization’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) which forms the organizational efforts towards Business Continuity.
Within the project scope, Obrela Security Industries will develop and deliver to ENISA a prototype BCM model which will outline a set of business continuity activities that SMEs should follow to protect their core business functions.
The outcome of this project will assist typical SMEs to:
- Identify the organization’s key business processes, people, systems and dependencies, as well as the impact of their non-availability, would have on the business;
- Recover and restore partially or completely interrupted critical (urgent) business and IT function(s) within a predetermined time after a disaster or extended disruption;
- Ensure that the appropriate technical and operational continuity controls are in place for the contingency of critical business functions and IT services.
